<관계부사 where>

1. (설명) 관계부사는 접속사와 부사 역할, 선행사인 명사를 후치수식하는 형용사절을 이끌고 있다는 점에서 본질적으로 관계 대명사와 같은 기능

- Where은 선행사가 장소일 때 사용

- 선행사 + where+ 주어 + 동사

- 주어가 ~하는 장소

2. (4가지 특징)

1) where을 전치사 + 관계대명사로 바꾸어 쓸 수 있음

2) where대신 that 사용 불가

3) where생략이 빈번하지는 않고 선행사가 place인 경우 한정적으로 생략

4) 구어체에서 선행사를 생략하고 where 만 사용하기도 함

3. (예문)

(전치수식) 우리는 이따금 이카페에서 만난다.

We get together in this cafe from time to time.

(후치수식) 우리가 이따금 만나는 카페

1. The cafe where we get together from time to time (관계 부사 where)

2. The cafe which we get together in from time to time (관계 대명사 which)

3. The cafe in which we get together from time to time (전치사 + 관계 대명사 which)

4. The cafe that we get together in from time to time (관계 대명사 that)

5. The cafe we get together in from time to time (관계 대명사 생략)

* 오늘 암기 : Today for the first time in human history technology makes it possible to monitor everyone all the time.

* 오늘 영작 : He's generous. He's big-hearted. He has wide simpaties. He has a broad mind.
